Hi Alain,
as you can see from the User Agent (the line at the bottom of the message), I am using Seamonkey1.0. It looks like you are using IE.
Now, and, i will have to summarize, you can access your Webmail from Ie, and you can't from Seamonkey. By this I mean, doing the same thing that you are doing in IE, or to place you at the same spot,
with this URL. In other words, you don't need to go to netscape.com, and click on Mail, but go directly to the login page. With me, I enter my Webmail username and password, and my e-mail for that account opens. And, there, is a new Spam message, that Webmail handled flawlessly. I was asked, before entering the site, if I wanted to save the username/password. If I had entered the wrong combination, I would have not been allowed in. All this is basic.
So, my first question is: did you do that, and you still can't get in Webmail?
No settings, other than username/password are required.
But, it seems that you are still referring to the Mail part of Seamonkey. I will not repeat myself. I covered that, in detail, but the take home message is that Netscape Webmail
cannot be set up in Seamonkey mail the same way that it is in NS7.2.
As for newsgroups, there is nothing new. You set them up in the Mail part, the way that you did in NS7.2.
I did not sign up for any newsgroups in Seamonkey, but it looks to me that there is nothing new.
Are you in the same page, if not the same line.
I am 74, and I can manage, although not without hitting my head against the wall a few times.
You don't need to quote, but if you have to, use the BBCode above the message. Click Quote, which will look like this:[Quote]. Enter the desired word, and click Quote again (it will have an asterisk).
As for the profiles, a Netscape folder would belong to a Netscape8. All Netscape6 or 7.x are in the Mozilla folder, unless you create your own folder. The default folderin the Mozilla folder, is, probably, the one which you are using in Seamonkey now. And, if you don't have any bookmarks like you had in NS7.2, everything was gone along with the program.
Please, letme know if I am too wordy. We got to get this matter straightened out.
Fulvio
