I noticed that there is no incremental update. Do you have any idea if it is just a bit late, or what. 1.5.0.1 User Agent reported to be 1.5, if the entire installer was downloaded, but it showed that it was 1.5.0.1 if the incremental was selected. I will wait around a while.

Thanks! This is working perfectly :) It's also nice to know that my favourite extension, FireSomething, works nicely!

Information about security fixes included is not available yet.

Link 'Several security fixes' (mentioned at beanboy89's posting) points to Fixed in Firefox 1.5.0.1 section.
Reportedly updated information is coming soon.

From the What's New section at Release Notes page:

The Burning Edge has more detailed lists of notable bug fixes.

Burning Edge Changelog says:

Security
* Several security holes, the most serious of which could lead to remote code execution. (Information about these security holes will be announced shortly after the release, probably within hours.)

I was prompted for an update a few minutes ago. It's nice to see that the process is so streamlined, contrasted with the routine downloading/uninstalling/installing procedure from a couple years ago. (Also, you can disable automatic updates if you don't want them!)

I noticed that even though "About Mozilla Firefox" gives the correct Version:

[tt]Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8.0.2) Gecko/20060308 Firefox/1.5.0.2[/tt]

The Page Title still shows:

[tt]Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1[/tt]

Detailed information, i.e. MFSAs related to vulnerabilities fixed in FF 1.5.0.2 is public and link
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/securit ... l#firefox1
5.0.2 includes seven separate advisories. However, other advisories are ready too but links are not updated yet. FrSIRT and Secunia list all Mozilla security advisories as their references at http://secunia.com/advisories/19631/ and
http://www.frsirt.com/english/advisories/2006/1356 . Secunia says 21, FrSIRT in turn 22 issues.
Sorry for the delay when informing this.

And, the Add/Remove indicates Mozilla Firefox 1.5. By the way the old 1.5.0.1 had a much larger size as the new 1.5, aka 1.5.0.2. Anyway, i uninstalled the other guy, which I had not used since 1.5.0.2. I guess that's the best explanation.
