I actually scanned in a bunch of my photos this morning (this one included) and uploaded them to my deviantART account as wallpaper.

A desktop background that me and Don_HH2K came up with... a joke at how Antony keeps referring to the "open source extremists":

Open-Source Extremists Desktop

Very interesting.

OS X 86 does not represent "Open Source", but "thieves", a bunch of hackers.

Don't steal software.

Just a question. Why was the Windows desktop picture not in wide-format?
Was that because the creator of that deaktop wallpaper hates wide-format because Apple is turning into wide-format? Even though the rest of the world is also moving to a new standard/format (e.g. TV, HDTV, camcorder etc)

I didn't say I hated widescreen displays, and at that, the reason I didn't get one isn't Apple. First off, all of my preexisting media is saved in a 4:3 (non-widescreen) aspect ratio, which would either crop, stretch, or display bars on the sides when displayed on a 16:9 screen such as a widescreen is. On top of that, I didn't want to have to buy a new notebook case. I can barely fit this into my current one, and a 15.4" or a 17" would be out of the question.

The 1024x768-ness of that wallpaper was generated by six years of using 1024x768 wallpapers. Suddenly switching to 1400x1050 doesn't cause you to suddenly grow out of making 1024x768 wallpapers.

Given that all of my capture/editing junk (currently an old VHS camcorder, 720x480 capture card, and standard-def TV) is also 4:3, it'll probably be awhile until I make the jump to widescreen. I can't afford to replace any of it just yet.

It was only a question, as I found it strange, and my guess was wrong :-(

Back to the topic,
Presenting our favourite twins - Carlson Twins

Carlson Twins certainly know the right brand for laptop ;-)

The laptop Carlson Twins were holding was Apple Titanium PowerBook G4. The world's first 1-inch thin, light-weight, powerful and wide-format laptop.

Apple's Press Release wrote:The super light yet incredibly powerful Titanium PowerBook G4 outperforms Pentium III-based notebook systems by up to 30 percent*

Our favourite twins? Errr, I don't think so!

Here's a refreshingly stark contrast ... The Olsen Twins . . .
