Apple released QuickTime 7.1 for Mac OS X and Windows.

QuickTime 7.1 is an important release that delivers numerous bug fixes, support for iLife ’06, and H.264 performance improvements. This update is highly recommended for all QuickTime 7 users.

QuickTime 7.1 is available from www.apple.com/quicktime.

Users can upgrade to QuickTime 7 Pro and enjoy watching movies in full screen and able to edit and
create QuickTime movies and Podcasts.

At least 128MB of RAM

There are compatibility on Adobe Photoshop CS2 installer and QuickTime 7.1 on Intel-based Macs. Users of Intel-based Mac with QuickTime 7.1 can run Adobe Photoshop CS2 without problem.


Intel Mac Adobe CS2 problem explained (Macworld UK):

Apple customers attempting to install Adobe CS2 on Intel Macs have reported installation problems.

While a recent Apple QuickTime update seems partially to blame, another culprit is reportedly made by Adobe - Version Cue.

A report explains that the problem can be fixed simply by not installing the VersionCue software. To do this, users need to leave the Version Cue box unchecked when they install CS2.

Some users are also experimenting with replacing QuickTime 7.1 with version 7.0.4, the report claims.

Adobe is working with Apple to address these issues. They plan to post additional information on the matter "shortly", a spokesman explained yesterday
