Cannot Play MPG video file extensions using 7.01

Postby Cheezeman » Sun 16 Feb, 2003 12:44 am

MPG videos begin to load and then freeze and I have to reboot. I've tried to change 'Helper Application' to other viewers but Netscape continues to default to the same useless viewer application. I even removed/re-installed 7.01 but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Welcome to SillyDog 701 Forums

You need QuickTime installed.

True. If you have QuickTime 6.0 installed, mpg files will play inside the
browser window, using the QuickTime plugin for Netscape. You can
download QuickTime 6.0 direct from Apple's website for free.

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!
