Your main operating system?

Postby Antony » Tue 05 Dec, 2006 3:52 am

I just thought it could be a good idea to have a quick poll about SillyDog701 member's main operating system.

I know some of us use multiple operating system, but please chose one that you considered as your main operating system. Sometimes, the main you use may not be your favourite or preferred one ;-)

Discussions are welcome, and please feel free to reply to this thread to add detail of you main operating system.

Mac OS X here.

PS: Mac OS X is a very good operating system, however, it's not something one should worship!

My main OS right now is Windows XP. The jury's still out on whether I'll be able to afford enough to buy hardware
upgrades to get Windows Vista running with all its shiny bells and whistles. It only just runs moderately well
on this PC. Eitherway, Windows XP is a very good OS once it's personalised and put on a strong leash!

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

Before more Windows users coming to vote, I shall take this nice screenshot of our SillyDog701 operating system poll.

Note that we're now 50/50.

Right now I use Windows XP x64 on my laptop and Windows Server 2003 on the other two machines that actually matter. Upgrading to Vista/LH Server is still up in the air.
