How uninstall old Seamonkey????

Postby yankee1620 » Mon 01 Jan, 2007 7:57 am

I installed the new Seamonkey. It said to uninstall the old one *after installing the new one, BUT, I can't find the old one in order to uninstall it!! Where is it...it is not in the Control Panel add/remove and I am afraid to use it because things might get ruined....

I just uninstalled the Seamonkey 1.0.7 and reinstalled it...it seems to be OK...all the profiles are in order and nothing seems to have been lost....
Sorry for the panic...in hosp for week and heavily medicated so I am having a lot of fuzzy thinking...LOL :D

You must have had a Seamonkey before. Unlike other programs like Netscape or Mozilla, SM will remind you to remove the old version. The profiles would not be affected.
Have a better New Year, and get better. I know the feeling.

uninstalling SeaMonkey

Postby richard mitnick » Thu 04 Jan, 2007 1:09 pm

I make it a practice to un-install any current version of SM before I install a new version.
The one time I did not do this, SM was rendered unuseable.
