I currently click on the Chat link listed above, "Club Netscape Chatroom", and get the error message:
The requested URL was not found on this server.

I can get to the chat by going through the Club Netscape link in DJGM's signature block.

BTW, this JAVA applet does not crash my browsers (yet).

When in the chat, either SillyDog or Club Netscape, and either via the web site Java applet or an IRC program, I will see a "voice" command.

What is this voice command? Is it something where you can actually talk through IRC to the channel? If it is, is special software required for it to work, or will simply plugging in a microphone (with attached headphones) suffice?

Actually, its not used for any of that. I'll you an example: In chaneel #BlahBlah the following people are in the channel:

Bob
Charlie
Mary
Frank
Fred

Lets say Bob is the channel operator and has Ops, Charlie, Mary and Frank all have voice - Fred is being very annoying to them. Bob, the channel operator can engage what is called 'Moderation Mode' in which people with Ops or Voice mode can chat like usual, but people without Ops or Voice mode can only view the converstation, they cannot chat at all. Therefore Bob, Charlie, Mary and Frank can chat in peace, without Fred being annoying!
