Apple Safari now on Windows

Apparently, they've implemented a Keychain feature in Safari, but I don't know where you would go to access it.

I visted the Safari for Windows newsgroup, and found out that I am not the only one with invisible toolbars.
I will wait for some reply at the newsgroup, and chuck this monstrosity, in the meantime.
I, just, wish that there would be some way to contact their Techs, but I know that they are quite impervious to requests.

Oh, never mind. They won't let outsiders even view the posts. By the way, has anyone seen the newsgroup? There are two choices, "solved" and "contented". I have two iTunes messages which were never answered to my satisfaction.

i got that bit, but what software environment? what regional settings, what service pack/patch level they were using etc etc?

i tried this on two laptops and a desktop, different levels of patching on windows and the performance was nothing near what was stated, and on one machine it didn't even work.

perhaps they are using a different build of the browser to conduct these tests than the downloadable one.

Problems?

Hi all.

I thought I'd jump in with my maiden post re. Safari....

Been using the Win safari for a few hours. My experience:

Pros:
* Does run faster than both IE and FF
* Installed with no problems
* Memory use (compared both FF and Safari, with the 4 same tabs opened:
FF 164 528 K
Safari 41 952 k

Maybe the FF memory is high due to my numerous addons?

Cons:
No FF like addons
No roboform like equivalent

However, based on the feedback in this forum, maybe I'm just lucky.

BTW, I run an Acer laptop, 2 Ghz duo processor, 2 Gb ram, Win XP.......

It does not matter how hard I am trying to get this monster to work, still no luck.
Reinstalled a couple of times, menu fonts still like on picture posted before, when clicking on Bookmarks button, it crashes, every single time...
How did you guys managed this monster to work?
Is this problem related to localized Windows version?
I also put inside Apple Webkit for Windows(latest version), but in this case Safari failed to start..

Added later: Vulnerabilities already found...
I’d like to note that we found a total of 6 bugs in an afternoon, 4 DoS and 2 remote code execution bugs. We have weaponised one of those to be reliable and its different that what Thor has found. I can’t speak for anybody else but the bugs found in the beta copy of Safari on Windows work on the production copy on OSX as well (same code base for a lot of stuff).

apple's false PR tactic will eventually eat back in near future.

With the expanding OSX user base, apple not only putting no emphasis on security awareness of their users, but also making stupid ads tauting windows as "insecure", which basically encourage their own users NOT to care about security. This is simply stupid.

After my third separate download, and clean install, still no obvious text anywhere on the toolbars. I can navigate ok, with the given bookmarks or whatever they are, but even the apple.com page has a large gap in the middle. I was, really, excited, but after wasting two hours, I am done with it.
By the way, it crashed only once, when I tried to add a bookmark (the + icon). It just shutdown on me.

I think SSS is referring to Keychain on Safari for Windows.

This thing is all over the internet, articles, blogs, whatever, with such negativity that really deserves no more attention.
