iPod touch now up to 32GB

Apple has updated iPod touch to 32GB capacity.

Apple has released new iPod touch model which have double the memory, doubling the amount of music, photos and videos that customers can carry with them wherever they go. iPod touch now comes in a 32GB model for US$499, joining the 16GB model for US$399 and the 8GB model for US$299.

Like the 8GB and 16GB iPod touch, the 32GB model includes a multi-touch wide-screen interface, built-in Wi-Fi, music and video playback, iCal, Mail, Safari, Address Book, Stocks, Weather, and Google Maps with location finder.

iPod touch 32GB model is available worldwide immediately for a suggested retail price of US$499. 16GB and 8GB models now include with new software introduced during MWSF 08. For more information about iPod touch, please visit iPod touch web site. Apple also released new iPhone 16GB model.

The new 32GB model seems to be having enough capacity for today's standard.

Except the US$499 (+Tax) or AU$629 (incl GST) seems a bit high to me.

Looks almost like the iPhone. How does it connect to the Internet?

It uses WiFi connection (802.11g), which works smoothly.
