What the heck are Personas?

What the heck are these personas that always advertised on the Firefox start page? We already have themes and addons? What do they offer thats not currently offered?

Decided to modify it, to ask a question I've never quite got a good answer for (marketing != good answer), as there was already a post regarding what I was talking about.

Since I don't know what the Start page, nor ever paid attention to the page which shows up after Fire fox is installed, I could not comment on the issue. I did a Search, and came up with this. Are we on the same page?
