Mandriva Linux 2009 Spring Released

Postby Edward » Thu 30 Apr, 2009 8:03 pm

Mandriva, S.A. has released Mandriva Linux 2009 Spring.

Available in installation images with KDE or GNOME desktops, it also includes for the first time, a new dual-architecture (i586 and x86_64) install image using the LXDE desktop as the default. The KDE and GNOME images of One (contains all drivers and common plugins) and Free (purely free software) can be downloaded from Mandriva's web site.

The dual-architecture image can be downloaded directly from one of Mandriva's mirrors around the world.

After installation, the Sugar (designed for the OLPC project) and XFCE desktops can also be installed if the user wishes.

Screenshots of all five desktop screens can be viewed here.
