This post will stick out like a sore thumb after things like the duct taped phone and the homemade LED flashlight, but I've been saving for a much bigger and nicer purchase. So I'm now the owner of a 1999 BMW 528i.

The cassette deck is misleading because there's actually a CD player in the trunk.

The storage compartment I put my phone in is actually designed to accommodate cassette tapes, but it fits in there pretty well.

If you noticed the microphone, cassette adapter, and cigarette lighter plug, you can probably guess what I'm doing. :wink:

Under the hood is pretty much all engine, but I guess that's to be expected with a straight-6.

(To Antony: I am poor, it's not an M5 or even a 540i with the big, fast V8 engines. Just the 528i, the base model for the 1999 model year.)

My my how I love the lost and found. I managed to get my a semi-brand new iPod Video (5th Generation of the iPod).

Apple iPod 5G Video:

This puppy features a 30GB hard drive and great battery life.
It was in the lost and found, and we gave someone 2 days to claim it, after that it was free reign, and I was lucky enough to be the first to come.

I'm so happy. Right now I'm ordering a new front and back plate, and am working out how to get my name engraved.

My new printer, bought about a month ago in a good bargain ($200 off).
I was quite busy then, and completely forgot to post about it, sorry.

The main features of it: it's an A3 printer, A3+ size actually.
(A3 is two A4 joined together, 297mm by 420mm or 11.7in by 16.5in in American units)

I've been seeing USB-based lights for laptops in stores and online, so I figured I'd try and make one.

Not the most aesthetically pleasing one, but it gets the job done. I made it out of parts I had laying around: a leftover LED from the [sdp=96715]flashlight project[/sdp], a ribbon cable and two 50-ohm resistors salvaged from a dead TV, the USB header from a broken PS/2 converter, and a metal coathanger.

It's actually brighter than this, but I don't have a tripod to get a long enough exposure with.

I was considering a Flip MinoHD camcorder myself until I saw the Toshiba Camileo P10 can do up 1080 HD resolution.
IIRC ... the Flip MinoHD and UltraHD can only do HD up to 720p, and costs quite a bit more to buy than the Toshiba.

I believe the Flip MinoHD/UltraHD cameras have only 4-8GB built in flash memory, with no memory expansion slots,
while the Toshiba Camileo cameras can take SD flash memory cards up to 32GB, and record upto 8hrs pure HD.

That's pretty much what I thought until I saw the Toshiba!

Tell ya what ... they both have the ability to upload vids direct to YouTube, so how about I post a couple of vids from
the Toshiba after I've bought one, while you could do the same with the Flip? We can compare and contrast the two.

Who knows, maybe while I'm out tomorrow I'll check out the Toshiba. Although, I'm not the biggest fan of their products.
