I don't think that I made this clear, or my post was misunderstood, as item 2.
For instance the Sillydog website fills in the userID, and password, and I need only to click enter to login. WindowsBBS does not have anything in the userID, and password. But, if I type the userID, or some of its letters, I will be given a chance to select the userID (which is in triplicate in the dropdown). After doing this the password box fills up, and I can login. I am given the opportunity to save the info, at both websites, but the checked box is erased, and the password info removed, after login. The userID will remain, but will not be present the next time that I open the browser. I am using Google Chrome, and had no problem. with autologin.
My login is not automatic in Firefox/SM2.0 because I have chosen to delete cookies on exit.
Another individual at WindowsBBS feels that this behavior is a browser bug. I feel that it is more like a design of the website, where the userID may not show up if cookies are deleted.
The Sillydog site will show the userID, and so do other sites.
