Odd Loading Problelm with Firefox 3.5

I had a boot up problem with my computer earlier tonight in which, during the boot up process, the computer was inadvertently turned off. Windows 7 went through a repair which seemed to work just fine. However, now when I use Firefox, while the program is loading, I get the following message:
"Firefox could not install this item because "install.rdf" (provided by the item) is not well-formed or does not exist. Please contact the author about this problem."
I have uninstalled FF but the problem persists. I can run and use FF as you can see but I get this error message each time I try to boot it up. This problem did not exist until after the computer turn on/turn off fiasco. Any idea about what I should do? I thought about using system restore but it wants to go back to the point earlier this month when I installed ITunes and I do not want to have to uninstall and reinstall that program again. If that is the only option, I will do it but any other ideas regarding a fix?

Do you get this problem when running in safe-mode?

How about creating a test profile and see if you still get the same problem.

I have not tried to launch in safe mode and I will create a new profile and see if it happens again. It has the same problem with my wife's profile in addition to mine.

I just tried a test profile and the same thing happens. I'll try a safe mode launch tomorrow.

I just disabled my NoScripts Add On and it seems the problem no longer exists. I will close and launch a few more times to see if this is the problem.

If it is NoScript, try uninstalling it and then reinstalling the updated version from the Mozilla Addons site.

That is the plan. I think it will work because I had an issue with NoScript before and that process worked. Thanks for the tip.
