Corrupted display driver/adapters Windows XP SP3

Postby Llryn » Mon 01 Feb, 2010 7:38 pm

Hi, I just registered.

I've been browsing several tech forums and SillyDog701 seems to be one of the most well-received ones. :D

I have a little problem that's quite similar to the one described in the "CD/DVD driver corrupted post"

My CD drive can't seem to recognise any CD-ROMs but my DVD driver works fine except that the video jerks occasionally. Then again, all video files (avi., rmb., mpeg., mp4., etc) that I play jerks quite a bit too.

when I ran a check with Display Manager, it showed that both my visual adapters are corrupted and identified as error code 39.
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

I've tried the method mentioned by erdiko in the above-mentioned post but it didn't work. My videos still jerk. I would greatly appreciate if the tech-savvy individuals here could help me out. =)

Thank you!

This doesn't sound like a problem with your CD drive, but rather with the drivers for your graphics card.

Would you happen to know who made it, and more specifically what model number it is?

I believe it's Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3 100

Are there different methods of troubleshooting if the manufacturer of the graphic card is different?

I was going to recommend reinstalling your video drivers, so I'd need to know who made it and what the model is to tell you what to get.

This download should be the one you want.

Thank you! I'll try that. It's been jerking for almost a year now...
