using netscape 7.2 , unable to access my email for downloading, error message "Failed to connect to server Shawmail" comes up. using xp home sp2, Mcaffee, Zonealarm.Have 3 users on this pc ,all with same trouble.
Checked my mail/newsgroup settings , all appear to be ok? would really appreciate some help. note also I can access my email via "webmail login" from shaws website.

Hi, was able to solve my problem, apparently when using a router sometimes the server name has a short version and a long version eg. shawmail vrs.
shawmail.ed.shawcable.net , this info I found eventualy on shaw's site after a lot of digging. Have had a router for over 4 months ,as to why the problem would show up now ,well it could be anyones guess. Hope this info might hel someone else out in the future if they read this.
