NS 8 Question re tabs

Postby James » Sat 12 Nov, 2005 11:18 pm

I've decided (as you can see) to try NS 8 to resolve my Yahoo woes. So far it's working like a charm. One thing I'd like to do (but can't figure out) is this: when I open a new tab I'd like it to be a blank page. Right now it simply opens the page that is already opened to duplicate it. Thanks for your assistance.

Edit: I've just figured out how to have the new tab open a blank page BUT it's not exactly what I want. Once I have that new blank page open, if I click on a Search OR if I click on a favorite bookmark, I'd like it to overwrite that blank page rather than open a brand new tab.

I must say.. NS 8 is very confusing and not very user friendly in comparison with FF or IE or Opera for that matter. I'm surprised, given how great the orginal Netscape was. Did they create this hybrid for the uber-geek?

Go to Tools>Options>Tab Browsing and scroll further down the page to "Open Behavior". Choose "Overwrite existing tab" on Search bar result option.
