Adblock for NS 8?

Postby James » Sun 13 Nov, 2005 8:22 am

Besides a third-party app (i.e. Ad Muncher) is there any extension for NS 8 to help block ads? Thanks. :?

Isn't blocking ads unethical?

Really? I think that would depend upon:

- the number of ads blocked
- the type of ads blocked
- one's definition of the word unethical
- one's own personal ethical beliefs

Secondly, if such were the case, why would so much emphasis be placed upon an extension like Adblock? Indeed, some paid-for programs (i.e. Ad Muncher) derive their reason for existence for the sole purpose of blocking ads.

However we feel about this issue on a personal basis, I think it should remain there... as a personal decision each one of us must make without anyone else on SD making a moral judgment upon one's decision. Don't you think?

Anyway, thanks for addressing my question (I think).

In reading over my response I think I was a little harsh. Sorry.

I think that very few extentions work in Netscape 8. Anyway, aren't all extentions third party applications?
