As there may be some copyright issues with the current combined Firefox/Netscape logo I created long
before the Firescape project started, I've created a brand new logo. It still borrows some elements of
the Netscape logo, but without being direct combination of both the Firefox and Netscape logos.
I believe I've deviated enough from the current round Netscape logo, for it not to be a breach of the
copyright and/or trademarks held by AOL/Netscape. I have also completely removed all elements of
the Firefox logo, so as not to have the Mozilla Foundation/Corporation issuing any legal action.
Since I haven't got any software that can create the glassy effect, or easily smooth out the rough
edges, I consider this version of the logo to be a "rough draft", that can be tweaked and refined.
The image shown here is a PNG file of 256 colors and 255 x 305 pixels. Click the image to reveal a
double sized version of 16 million colors, which is also a PNG file. I have chosen to use PNG, as it
is a "lossless" image format. JPG is "lossy" which deteriorates with each subsequent edit/save.
The pixel size of both images includes all the white space. The font used is called Rockwell.
Any comments?
