As a hardened user of netscape for the past 15-18? years, I finally have done something stupid-again. Having built a new pc & having to fomat it agian within 3 months I got a little sloppy. I just copied the netscape folder thinking I would be grabing my email, bookmarks etc. Well something tells me they are not there. If they are they are not what I think they are. Question, are they located in the netscape folder or are they saved in my documents under mozilla? I believe I exported all that stuff onto a cd the last time I did this. Can't find the cd & now have apparently lost 400 emails & about 100 adresses & bookmarks. doohhhh. Any idea's? Thanks
Netscape 7.2, windows xp pro, sata drives, 200G raid 0 Currently running "recover my files" for the past 13 hours & found 25 generic emails & 375 html files. Other options are for ie mail.

You must have either have come from a lower Netscape, or not paid attention. Since Netscape6, the profile has not been located in the Netscape folder. You used to have Communicator and Users folders, inthe Program Files|Netscape folder. Since NS6, the Users folder have become Profiles, and it is located in the Mozilla folder. WinXP has made things interesting, by hiding the folders. That's were the bookmarks, mail, etc. are.
I will give you a link for mail and another one, for Profiles , in general.
It depends on what operating system you were using before, or what you saved.

It was 7.2 before on xp pro. I was affraid that was the storage for the mail. that I did not save. Im hoping 'recover my files" finds the data. Thanks for your help.
