Note This thread is separated from EddiePaxil's [sdp=69764]question[/sdp] in [sdt=10623]Windows Media Components for QuickTime[/sdt]. A new thread would be easier for everybody ;-) - Antony.

I had to trash alot of preferences and I might have accidently trashed one I didn't want to. Previously I was able to Save image files off the net (Like say a Carlson Twins Wallpaper) by right clicking and I would get the option of "Save As" and I could save it anywhere. ow it only gives me the Desktop as an option. Any Ideas? Thanks again for all your help.
Eriel,
If you deleted any preference files ([tt].plist[/tt]), simply re-launch the application, and you will be given a default preference files.

I don't think there's such option. Please see following screenshots showing the context menu of images:

If the image on a webpage serves as a link,

If the image on a webpage does not have a link associate to it (just image),

Image

I don't recall a Save As option. However there are other ways to save images...
1. Open the image in a new tab, then from File | Save As (or simply :cmd: + S)

2. Drag the image to your desktop or any harddisk (folder).

Directly dragging is the usual method I use, I crated a shortcut (alias) called “saved picâ€

Yeah there is. It was something I used quite a bit to get wallpapers. I've found it and I think I know what happened.

If you have a mouse with the ability to right click you'll get the option you showed in the picture with "Save Linked File to Desktop" or "Save Image to Desktop", but if you hit Option and Right Click, you get "Save Linked File As" or "Save Image As". Somehow I had reversed this. Where simply right clicking alone gave me the latter two options. I just can't remember how I did it.

Yes, I have [sdt=9533]Mighty Mouse[/sdt].
And to make a context click (*) in a single button mouse, just hold down the control key. ;-)
(*) context click is commonly known as “right clickâ€
