Apple released iTunes 6.0.3 update.

New in iTunes 6:
Sync Home Movies
Create iPod-compatible versions of your own movies using iTunes.

AirTunes Enhancement
Simultaneously stream the same song wirelessly to up to three home stereos or powered speakers — using AirPort Express with AirTunes.

Apple has also released updates to iLife '06. The update upgrades iDVD to 6.0.1, iPhoto to 6.0.1, iMovie HD to 6.0.1, and iWeb to 1.0.1.

iTunes 6.0.3 includes stability and performance improvements over iTunes 6.0.2.

Previously with iTunes 6.0.2 and OS X 10.3.9 users, there was a problem with Disk Utility (please see [sdt=10712]this thread[/sdt] for more detail).

I don't have the information on whether this has been fixed or not. I will add update to this once available.

IMHO, it's about time iTunes had an update mechanism similar to that recently implemented in Firefox for
minor updates like this. There shouldn't be any need for every single iTunes user to have to download
a 25-35MB file, for what is nothing more than an incremental update with a few new features.

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

iTunes has one of the greatest update mechanism. You can download the iTunes through Mac OS X's built-in Software Update, and you shouldn't be downloading 25-35MB if you use the Software Update feature.

What about updating iTunes for Windows? AFAIK, there is no similar function to OS X's Software Update on Windows iTunes.

To update the iTunes for Windows, you currently have to download a 34.8MB file, which also includes QuickTime.

In fact, I wouldn't be at all surprised, if the majority of iTunes users are running it on Windows, not Mac OS X.

From Apple Discussions,

The workaround for running iTunes 6.0.2 (or 6.0.3) on OS X 10.3.9 and preventing Disk Utility has "Lost Connection" with Disk Management tool:
  1. Move iTunes onto the Desktop.
  2. Run Disk Utility
  3. Go to HD>Library>Receipts and trash all [tt]iTunes .pkg[/tt] files EXCEPT for [tt]iTunesX.pkg[/tt] and [tt]iTunesPhoneDriver.pkg[/tt]
  4. empty Trash.
  5. move iTune from Desktop back to 'Applications'.
