Wierd problem with Netscape

Postby garyo » Mon 20 Mar, 2006 3:41 pm

I cannot get Netscape 7.2 to keep my mail settings. I go to edit/ mail+newsgroups account settings/server settings. At server name I type in mail.adelphia.net and the program runs fine but as soon as I close Netscape or restart my computer when I check server name it always says 127.0.0.1
Any ideas or suggestion how i can get it to keep my settings??? Thanks in advance for any help!!!

It will happen if you have an antivirus ( most commonly Norton, although I am not sure) set to scan you mail. If you have any antivirus program set to scan mail, disable the scanning, which is not necessary in Netscape (with javascript disabled in maill).
you can always reenable if it is not it.
