How to find full path of netscape.exe 8.0

I have install the Netscape (8.0). how can I find full path of Netscape.exe in windows regkey.

one way is in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\Netscape.exe

Please let me know if there are different way to approuch it.

I never look in the Registry. What do you want to do with that information. A typical installation would show, on the hard drive, this path: C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape Browser\netscape.exe

For the most part, that's the simplest way to do it. Your other option would be to right-click a shortcut and see where it's pointing to.

Alternatively, to simplify the process of reading the Registry, you can rig a script to read you the value of that registry key. Open up Notepad and copy the following into it:

WScript.Echo(WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell").RegRead("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\Netscape.exe"))


Then save it as "nsversion.vbs". Now just double-click the file to figure out where netscape.exe is hiding. You can put it on your Desktop for easy access, or on a floppy or USB drive to take it around with you.

my goal is find defaul web browser.

how can I detect Netscape8.1 is set as defaul broswer and get full path of the broswer?
