I read somewhere in the internet that they are thinking of changing the "Opera" name. has anyone else read this?...any clue as to when Opera 9 is to be released?...That's all for now...

Of course not. These things are up to them. As it is the case with all programs under development. It will come out when they say so. And, an exact date means nothing. I have seen people freaking out when Netscape and other programs were not available when estimated.
As for a new name, I have not heard anything about it.
