lost status bar and quick launch bar

Postby cemed » Sat 08 Apr, 2006 8:15 pm

I clicked the wrong button I guess and lost the bar with start button, clock and quick launch bar. I can bring it back into place with the little double pointed arrow but it won't stay. Just keeps floating in and out of the screen. What do I do to correct this problem? Thanks
I have XP for OS and SeaMonkey for browser.

This is not a problem with your Seamonkey, but with everything, is it not?
Do you still have the blue bar, or is it gone? And, if so what is the double pointed arrow like. The normal way should be to have the smaller part of the arrow on top, and the larger one below (for me, at least).
Note: I may have things backward with the Start at the bottom left.
I want to make sure that understand what's going on, before asking you to post at the Windows forum.

I corrcted the problem with system restore. The blue bar was always there. Just the bar with start, clock, I think it's called the task bar and status bar. It would disappear and that part of screen would just be blank green color. Then with the vertical double arrow I could bring it back and then when I clicked on a site it would disappear. It's fine now but sure would like to know what button I clicked to cause the disappearence. Thanks Fulvio. Any ideas?

I had said that I have a lot of things upside, so I am not sure that we are talking about the same location. My bottom blue bar has from left to right, the Start button, Quick Launch, Taskbar and the clock at the far right.
If you right click in an empty area, and select Properties, you may have what you wanted, since it shows the Taskbar and Start Menu properties.
The same right click would give you a chance to lock the toolbars.
I really am not about to test possible causes of your problems, but you can see that there are possibilities from the context menu.

My blue bar is exactly the same as yours. start, quick launch, task bar, and the clock at the far right. System restore saved me again. I had no work that I needed to save so no problem using system restore.I right clicked all over the blanked out area to no avail. Nothing worked. Maybe someone has had that experience and will solve the problem.
