Where is this? I'd like to look in there, but I can't find it whereI'd think it would be - in my profile....

In Mozilla Firefox, and other Mozilla based browsers, the Temporary Internet Files is referred to as the cache.

To find your Firefox cache, and list what's in there, type [tt]about:cache[/tt] in the Location Bar, and press Enter.

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

Thanks - strange thing is, when I go to where it says it is, there's no "cache" folder. Hmm.

Ignore me! I skipped local settings :-)

How would I locate a quick time video in my cache?

Determine the name of the movie file, search for that text string in your disk cache listing, and save a copy of that cache entry using the context menu for the link representing it. However I'm pretty sure that QuickTime manages its own I/O. Since the movie download bypasses the browser download mechanism, the movie data never appear in the browser cache.

You could also save the entire source of the web page the movie appears in to your machine, and hope to find the movie among those files. That works with some older QuickTime movies. But with modern movies, the author can prevent that from working, too.

In the old days, it was easy to determine what is the Cache. Not since the more modern Netscape/Mozillas came out. I have tried and cussed a lot, with very little success, and only if very little was in the Cache folder. It is not worth the effort.
That's why for me, at least, Cache=Trash, and should be dumped when done with.
