So, to summarize overall browser stats, excluding OSes, for SD701 are:

Microsoft Internet Explorer = 53.34%
Netscape 2.x - 7.x + Mozilla = 45.13%
All other browsers inc. Opera= 01.52%

It's good to know there's at least one site, on the entire world wide web,
that shows a healthy share stat for NS and Mozilla based browsers. Also,
it's good to see so many IE users (that most probably favour Microsoft's
browser over other far superior browsers), visiting this site, as there's
a good chance they'll realise the "error of their ways", and convert to
either a Netscape browser or to some other Mozilla based browser.

And that has surely got to be a good thing, methinks!

Definantly a good thing! The quicker Mozilla based browsers overcome IE, the better! Xp/2k Lite should assist this, allowing people to finnally remove IE from the latest versions of Windows, and that'lll be a far better option that just "hiding" IE in XpSP1/2k SP3!!!

Forget to mention, I lost October's stats (access_log).
IE's count is a bit less, while (Netscape 7 + Mozilla) increased the most.

Congrats! About time Netscape beat IE on browser stats! Smile

I am surprised though, to see Mosaic in the list.

W3Schools would not at all be a good place to look for browser hit stats; out of people that know about the W3C and are web-savvy in general, a far higher percentage would have seen the light.

01 Jan, 2003 10:27 pm Rub it in! [sdp=5443]

Hi,
Yes just rub it in that netscape is struggling.(stop it)
I have been a netscape fan since October 1994 they uesd to rule the browser market but now in January 2003 they have only 3.00% of the browser market share and a matter of fact they at one time had 100.00% of the browser market share but no more.
I had a hard time typing this up because I am so upset and angry about that.

It is nice to see Netscape over half of the browser share again in SillyDog701. very happy

And there's no reason why the majority of web sites cannot show the same statistics.

Netscape is more secure than IE, as DJGM so eloquently attests to. Very Happy

I'm still surprised to see Mosaic in the list.
