accessing netscape.net email accounts in mozilla

Postby sokitome » Wed 15 Jan, 2003 12:29 pm

Hi,
Is is possible to access a user@netscape.net email account with the mail and newsgroups included in mozilla 1.0.1? I can easily access my netscape.net email account using netscape 7 but dont see an option to automatically add a webmail account in mozilla. Can the netscape accounts be setup as IMAP accounts? If so does anyone know the incoming and outgoing server addresses? ie, how to set up access to a netscape.net email account in mozilla.

Thanks.

It cannot, because the special IMAP has to go through the NIM/AIM. In fact, when I want to use it in NS 7.01, I have to use the AIM password, and not the Webmail password. You will have to be satisfy to get the mail from the website.

Netscape WEBmail can use two "different" passwords to access the "same" email account??.... interesting!!!. I always understood WEBmail IMAP must use AIM password. I did NOT know WEBmail URL could access the "same" email account with a different password. Does the "screenname" stay constant for both?
