Microsoft has released Messenger for Mac 6, an update to [sdt=11054]Messenger for Mac 5.1[/sdt] which was released in March 2006. Messenger for Mac 6 is the first Universal Application released by Microsoft's Macintosh Business Unit (MBU).


New features include the ability to chat with people on Yahoo!'s messaging service, custom emoticon creation, and an option to tell others what the user is listening to in iTunes.

Microsoft Mac Business Unit has released Messenger for Mac 6.0.1. In 6.0.1, it fixes the some sign-in issue some users experienced.
