IE extention tab

I have problems. Vertual memory loss is not my problem.I am going to remove SM1.0.3. and want to remove the IE extentin tab also. I can't find the location to remove the IE tab. Can someone help me? I'm going back to just IE and see if I still have problems with slow down. Thanks for any help. Would it cause any problems if I left it in and had on IE ?
