OmniWeb 5.5.1 released and only $9.95 during November

Postby Antony » Fri 03 Nov, 2006 9:02 am

Two months ago, we mentioned the release of [sdt=12038]OmniWeb 5.5[/sdt]. Yesterday, the Omni Group released OmniWeb 5.5.1 and has November special... only US$ 9.95 for OmniWeb 5.5.1 (instead of usual US$ 29.95).

What's new in OmniWeb 5.5.1:
Removed the borders on the OmniWeb error pages to avoid an incompletely implemented CSS3 feature.
Cherry picked apple revision 16881 which fixes a crasher when viewing charts at finance.yahoo.com.
Fixed a hang caused by an exception being raised repeatedly when checking for search fields on the page.
Fixed a crash when submitting form data, while HTTP Logging was enabled.

OmniWeb 5.5.1 requires Mac OS X 10.4.6 or later.

For more information about OmniWeb 5.5.1, please visit The Omni Group website.

Quickpick Backup for Omniweb?

Postby harlow » Sat 04 Nov, 2006 12:27 pm

Omniweb is about the only browser worth paying money for, and now that they are letting it go for 10 bucks, get your copy and see for yourself!

So the obvious question now is, will SillyDog be offering a Backup Quickpick for Omniweb bookmarks, settings, etc to complement the offerings for all of the other mainstream browsers?

Thanks

JEH

Just noticed from my UserAgent string post in [sdp=79178]another thread[/sdp]. The UserAgent string indicates
[tt]Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US) AppleWebKit/420+ (KHTML, like Gecko, Safari/420) OmniWeb/v607.5[/tt],
although I was using an Intel-based Mac.

Man, you guys are awesome! :) Thank you so much for jumping on this so quickly. I am acccustomed to making suggestions like that and, if I am lucky, seeing results in about 6 months.

Thanks
