OSX on a G3 PowerMac

Postby Purple Lizard » Sat 09 Dec, 2006 2:13 pm

Hi all,
I know this has been mentioned before in a previous thread but I can't find it so anyway.

I'm thinking of buying a blue and white G3 PowerMac to go with my iMac DV.

spec as follows:
G3 350 MHz, 1GB RAM, 6GB HDD, OS 9, CD-RW

So I'm wondering what the latest version of OSX is I can run on here as I know Apple dropped support for these a while back.

Many Thanks.

Blue and white G3s can support all the way up to 10.4.x, IIRC.

Purple Lizard's B&W G3 doesn't have a DVD drive, which is required by OS X 10.4. I believe Apple can (or did at one point) exchange the 10.4 DVD for CDs, though.
