Parallels, Inc. today released second Beta for Parallels Desktop for Mac (Build 3094) with new USB 2.0 support and full-featured virtual CD/DVD drive.
New features (over [sdt=12470]first Beta[/sdt] released in early December) are:
- USB 2.0 support: "Plug and play" most popular USB devices can now be used at full native speed. (Please note, this Beta does not support isochronous devices such as web cameras, microphones yet.)
- Full-feature virtual CD/DVD drive: enables user to burn CDs and DVDs directly in virtual machines.
- Improved Coherence mode
- Better Boot Camp support
- Parallels Transporter Beta 2 bundled
Parallels Transporter Beta 2 can now convert VMware and Virtual PC virtual hard disks to Parallels virtual machines.

This beta release also includes the Parallels Transporter Beta software to migrate a Windows PC, VMWare, or Virtual PC Virtual Machines to Parallels Virtual Machines.
