SeaMonkey 1.1 Release Candidates Available.

Postby DJGM » Wed 27 Dec, 2006 4:09 am

The first batch of release candidates for the upcoming v1.1 release of SeaMonkey are now available for testing.
More information (with one use of strong language) in this newsgroup thread, mirrored on Google Groups.

The release candidates can be downloaded from the Mozilla.org FTP server.

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

It's almost as if it's on vitamins!

It runs noticably faster on my K6-2 box in Windows and I wanted to test the Linux release candidate on the same box because previous Linux releases (1.0.x) would slow down when a web page loaded that contained a Flash ad/applet.

The SM 1.1 Linux release candidate also runs faster and doesn't slow down on web pages containing Flash. :)
