Adobe announced on Thursday that it is launching a public beta test phase for Photoshop CS3. The final version is slated to ship in spring 2007. The beta version of Adobe Photoshop CS3 will be available from tomorrow (15th December).
It's an Universal Application
The public beta is a Universal Binary application, allowing it to run natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs - something Mac users have been begging for ever since Apple introduced its Intel-based systems.
Photoshop CS3 beta also includes a pre-release version of a major upgrade to Adobe Bridge, as well as a preview release of the all-new Adobe Device Central. Photoshop customers can use Adobe Device Central to design, preview, and test compelling mobile content, created specifically for smaller screens. This new tool, integrated in the Photoshop CS3 beta, simplifies and accelerates the creation of mobile content through a preview environment and built-in device profiles.
The Beta version of Photoshop CS3 can be downloaded from Adobe Labs from early hours of 15th December (US Pacific Standard Time).
