I've just joined SillyDog and have read some posting regarding my problem but they all seem to be geared towards Windows XP and not Mac OSX.
I am running Mac OSX 10.3.5 using Netscape and it's mail program.
I have used it for years going back to Mac OS 7
I have suddenly been getting the error message:
Unable to write email to mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox.
I have done all the usual, compact mail folders, empty trash, deleted messages other than crucial work emails, restarted computer, repair permissions and even got a software program called Cocktail and ran it.
I got the mail to write for a short while and then it reverted back to the error message.
Any Mac help out there? I saw some windows advice fixes on Sillydog forums under Unable to write email..... and some things look close but hey I use a Mac.
Couldn't find any postings on Mac Forum using the above search.
Don't want to have to risk losing my address book and all my work email messages.
Please help.
Thanks,
Ed
