As usual the place for help is sillydog.

I have a user id at Windows Live, the darn forum just does not seem to work.

I have IE7 on two computers. I araely use it. But on one computer, when I close Windows Explorer, IE 7 launches. Anyone know how to stop that???

That sounds very weird. Does IE7 open to a specified page (other than the home page you specified, or black)?

Nope, I have all browsers set to open on a blank page, and that is how IE opens. I went looking for settings; I tried the "community" at Windows Live, which seems to rarely work. Nada, as they say.

It has been hot, then suddenly the temperature dropped to 19C yesterday. Well, it's bushfire season.

Hi!

I'm facing the same problem and couldn't find a solution anywhere.

I've recently installed IE7 on my Windows XP SP2 machine. Whenever I close my windows explorer, a IE7 window opens up with a blank page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's easy to fix.

It's usually caused by some poorly written addon, but resetting the Internet Explorer settings will fix the problem in most cases.

Open IE, then go Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced and then click the reset button under "Reset Internet Explorer Settings" and restart your PC.
