NSB8 Location Bar Dropdown History

Postby MHeadroom » Sat 03 Feb, 2007 6:40 pm

All,

I have been using NSB 8.1 on many machines for a while. I really like the dual rendering engine feature and hope it survives to NSB 9. If it doesn't, I'll probably jump to FF.

Nontheless, one problem I have in NSB8 is that I can not seem to control is the location bar dropdown history. All entries seem to disappear after 24 hours. This behavior is different than in NSB7 or FF. Does anyone know how to get the entries to last longer?

Thanks . . .

I got rid of NS8, so I cannot guide you exactly. You should be able to find a setting in Privacy, which must be set to Clear Tracks on Exit. You should be able to uncheck that box, and set the Page History button to the length of time which you want (it was set, by default, to nine days in NS7.x). I have mine set to one day.
As for NS8.x, the dual engine was the selling point, but no more. You can get the same results in Firefox by means of the IE Tabb extention, without all the defects of NS8.x.
