Caution about automatic updates

Postby Fulvio » Thu 01 Mar, 2007 4:15 pm

I don't know if this is applicable to automatic updates from one version to the next, but I discovered a weakness in the system using nightlies. Specifically, I have updating daily, v.2.0 since July 29,2006 with no problem. Today, after the update. I could see only the names of the accounts, and no headers. There was no help deleting the .msf files. However, a fresh download, and unzipping (I don't install nightlies), using the same profile as before yielded perfectly good mail. So, if I have any problem, I would try to get a new file, because the updater has proven unreliable, on my computer.
