If you have a PlayStation 3, you should get it! If you have a PlayStation 3 and a PSP, you won't regret getting it.

I want one! A 500GB HDD for my PS3 would certainly be useful too. :)

I really like the ability of streaming video from PS3 to PSP (Remote Play). Watching recorded/live TV on PS3 anywhere where WiFi is available is a really cool feature in my opinion.

I might hook up an external HDD for the time being.

Can you have PlayTV directly record onto an external HDD?

I guess so. I haven't hooked up an external HDD to PS3 yet.

Over the other forum, people said that all media files can be saved to and played from external HDD.

Western Digital (and Seagate, but I bought WD) now has devices by use of which one can play one's videos, almost any format, on the TV.

I loaded all of my mp4's, mostly Rock concerts, Jazz concerts, a couple of Classical Music oncerts, and some movies, onto a 320 gig Passport USB2.0 HDD, plugged the HDD into the device, plugged the device into the TV, and, Eureeka! no more need to use DVD's to watch on the giant 26" HD TV.

The device cost US$89. Then an HDMI cable, US$60.

WD makes three devices. This one is WD TV model WD00AVN.

I turned an old laptop I found into an alarm clock. :)

Image

It runs FreeDOS, with a shareware clock app called PCClock that I found on a Simtel mirror. The installed system is less than 256k in size, boots from a floppy, and uses little memory enough to run entirely in real mode.

The whole thing sits on top of a stack of boxes, books, hardware, and a trash bin that we here are jokingly referring to as the "clock tower".

What a huge alarm clock! Nice.
Okay, I've been thinking about getting a large display for alarm clock, I never thought of using computer screen instead.

You know the duct tape ruins the look completely. I hope you used the Gaffa tape at least!

I can't just go drilling holes in the wall to put a VESA mount in, you know.

AirPort Extreme Base Station (Simultaneous Dual Band II) arrived today.

Image

On top of it, I also have a Time Capsule (1TB, first gen), AirPort Extreme (gigabit with 802.11n) base stations.

BTW, it works with Sony PlayStation 3, PSP, and Nintendo Wii very well.

Nice purchase Antony.
How much did it cost?

(My netgear was 16.79$ with tax and shipping.)

Hmm, I would never pay that much for a router. Hope it works well.
By the way, does it have a web based configuration? Or do you need to use the airport utility?
