7.0 won't install on windows XP home

Can't get nestcape 7.0 to install on Windows XP. Uninstalled ver. 6, left ver. 4 on, but when I try to install ver 7 I get error message "setup has encountered a problem and needs to shut down" The error signature reads ApplName: setup.exe, appver: 1.0.0.2, modname: jar50.dll, modver: 1.0.0.0, ofset 000012cd". Now I can't get ver 6 back on. Installed on computer with Win98 and had no problems. Any help would be appreciated.
