Problem With Final Cut Pro 5.1

Postby pmongeon » Fri 22 Jun, 2007 9:47 am

I have been trying to convert my projects in Final Cut Pro, Version 5.1 into an MPEG-4. Each time I do it, it seems to come out with some sort of pixilization that seems to occur every second. I was wondering if there was a better way to convert my Final Cut Pro projects to MP4 so that it looks smoother, without the pixilization that I am getting, or if I am doing the settings wrong in QuickTime conversation. Help is much appreaciated, thank you.

what is your setting for MPEG-4? Do you use Compressor for converting?

I've been using QuickTime Conversion, and when it askes for a format, I've been selecting MPEG-4. Should I be using Compressor?

QuickTime's conversion (Exporting) should be fine.

The thing is that you need to adjust the setting.
It is recommended that you choose H.264, and with reasonable data rate (bitrate) given. Depending on the dimension and frame rate of your movie, you will need to experience it. In general rule, choose the smallest bitrate that produces acceptable output.
