Somehow, it looks very similar to Safari 2. I guess I am a Mac user...

I hope that this Safari version will work a bit better than the last one. I installed it without Bonjour, which I did not need, and, after importing all my bookmarks it really dragged my WinXP. I have never seen anything using about half of my RAM, i.e over 250 MB. And, there are no Tabs, which can be saved for next installation, nor addons. I am using NS7.2, which runs at 63 MB. Firefox, which is loaded with addons and tabs uses 75MB.
I will check everything, and this will be a clean install. We will see.

Much better, at 56 MB. Still a slowpoke. No "blazing speed" here.
And, I may have been able to save the present tabs in the bookmarks toolbar. I may get used to Safari, after all.
But, only choice to remove History is manual? I found it (History|Clear History). And, the program locked up when I selected to empty Cache. It, eventually, shut down, but I don't like all this potential bloat, which I don't care to carry along.

Safari 3 has been really stable for me, no crashes so far.

As for speed, it's hard to notice, but I can say there's definitely some small improvement over Safari 2. That's on a Mac.

Antony,
as I have only a pc, I would not know what previous version were like. 3.0.3 takes a very long time loading complicated pages, such as Apple's own, but it is fine otherwise.
It never crashed on me. The only misbehavior has been with emptying Cache. It, first, asked me if I was sure that I wanted to empty it. When I said yes, it took over one minute during which I could do nothing. I would call it a lock up, but may be it was just slow slow. That was the Cache from 2 hrs. use. I did Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring it to its senses. I never tried to empty Cache, since.
I found that I can accumulate Tabs, but do not reappear, unless I save them. Then, they will reappear. I cannot add to these saved tabs, but I can save the entire thing as another Tab.
Apparently, it does not not matter if I give the bookmarks a different name or not. It starts with Saved Tabs, and, eventually, I changed it to Saved Tabs1. And, I delete the older "personal bookmark". This saved tabs is to the left of the donated personal bookmarks, or whatever is that open book in the toolbar.
ok, I tried to empty Cache, again, this morning. I was using Safari for less than 30 min.
It took about 25 sec before the "are you sure" popup went away.

I noticed that I have to login at sites, even if I see the login parameters, and, checked to save the info. I went to look at the cookies, and the button was grayed out.
