Adobe has released ColdFusion version 8, an application server and software development framework.

According to Adobe's press release, ColdFusion 8, a powerful development tool for building dynamic Web sites and Internet applications, increases developer productivity, integrates with complex enterprise environments, and delivers rich and engaging experiences for users.

ColdFusion integrates with everything from Java to .NET and Exchange. It also works well with Adobe Flex, PDF and Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR) and Adobe LiveCycle. ColdFusion 8 also uses Ajax-based components as well.

For some of us who are not familiar with ColdFusion, ColdFusion is quite popular for data-driven web sites.
