Apple yesterday also released iTunes 7.4 to support the recent released iPod nano, iPod classic and iPod touch. The new iTunes 7.4 also features Ringtones, iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, and closed captioning (subtitles).

iTunes 7.4 supports rings for iPhone (not yet enabled) for only an additional 99c (on top of the cost of the song). If you already own the song, you don't need to buy the song again.

iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store allows users to download music easily to iPhone or iPod touch once there's a Wi-Fi hot spot. The iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store is in association with Starbucks (USA). Laptop users, iPod touch and iPhone owners also easily found out the song currently playing in Starbucks.

The iPod Observer also reports that iTunes 7.4 can play closed captioning (subtitle) where available.

iTunes 7.4 is free, and requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later. iTunes 7.4 can be downloaded from iTunes website.

Issues fixed by iTunes 7.4:

iTunes 7.4 fixes a buffer overflow issue that could have been exploited via maliciously crafted audio files to cause arbitrary code execution. This flaw, which related to the processing of cover art, affects both Mac and Windows versions of iTunes.
