The Release Notes document is available here:
http://en.www.mozilla.com/en/thunderbir ... easenotes/

This version includes fixes to two moderate security issues.

How to download your localized language version? Go there:
http://en.www.mozilla.com/en/thunderbird/all.html

Edit: added missing word 'Notes'
What happened to my BBCode??

This statement of Developer Center is interesting:

(note: the last official release of Thunderbird was version 2.0.0.6; we skipped a few numbers in order to catch up with Firefox)

I.e. we didn't see Thunderbird 2.0.0.8 at all.

This is not the first time they skip the numbers, if memory serves correctly ;-)

Yes, there were similar cases during the 1.x level too.

The URI vulnerability has been assigned to updated Secunia advisory SA27313:
Mozilla Thunderbird Memory Corruption Vulnerabilities

The advisory was marked as "Unpatched" since 19th October.

And, now they have fallen behind, again.
