Please- all Gecko based questions on the forum, not in PM's

Postby richard mitnick » Fri 04 Apr, 2008 4:53 pm

It is very important to keep all questions relating to Gecko based "stuff" on the forum and not in PM's, even very well meaning PM's, which I have now had several times.

Every question you have may be also important to someone else. Likewise, answers that YOU have to questions of others can be helpful to still others.

I do not wish to demean anyone who has sent me a PM, it was done is the best of ways.

But, you can see, a forum is exactly that, a FORUM, to exchange ideas.

Thanks so much.

Richard,
we expect a high of 69 (may be 70), and not a cloud in the sky. The crocuses are out, and the other good stuff is not far behind.
But, it is April, after all/ We expect, at least some rain every day from tomorrow till next Friday, and highs in the 50's, may be.

Thanks Richard for posting this.

A forum is a place where everybody can share information and contribute ideas. Private messages should be used for private matters.

My apology for entering what should have been a personal message. Sometimes, individuals are, either in a hurry, or feel that one person is more likely to give an answer.
This happened to me a few times, and, I answer the individual, and then copy the reply to the appropriate thread. The reply includes a statement to the effect that personal answers for technical questions do not belong.
