Just installed SM 1.1.9 Security Release and it seems to
run a bit faster than previous releases. I was able to install

I don't know if 1.1.9 is any faster (I never figured out how this is determined). As a caution, if one uses any add-on or Themes, Seamonkey1.1.9 will remove any third party software, unless one uses the skip option. Losing the add-ons may make the program faster.
I, always, uninstall the previous version, but I wanted to see how Seamonkey proceed if installed on top. Also, since I use a special profile, the installation on top, as done did not include the -p profilename, but brought up the Profile Manager. After editing the Target line of the Properties, I was able to use the same profile. The plugins folder was unaffected.
Seamonkey draws only 41MB vs. 71 MB of Flock (about the same for Firefox), so Seamonkey is a more efficient program. Nothing new here.
